Second up is a Contini which I was really looking forward to building up with a nice groupset. Gilco-esque tubes and lots of curves going on with beautiful straight forks.
Couple of minor spots of surface rust as expected but nothing significant. Dayglo yellow ,black pearl and violet pearl.
Top tube is 57cm ctc

RALEIGH AND BIANCHI SOLD CONTINI SOLD.
Hi I have a few road frames for sale as I now have far to many frames and wheels etc filling up the front room.
Collection only please from High Barnet (3 mins from tube) and I have tried to price less than I think they are worth - I would be asking greater prices if put on Ebay but could do without the hassle of boxing up etc.First up is a Raleigh 531 Team in sound condition but with some ugly touch ups - especially over top tube including decals. This may be removable. Frame is in good condition with no dents etc. Really nice chromed forks which must be worth a bit on their own. There is a Shimano A105 headset in excellent condition and Excellent Shimano Bottom Bracket. Drop-out adjusters fitted in the Campagnolo rear drop-outs. Top tube guides and rear brake cable included.
Top tube is 56cm ctc
BB serial is WB8006486 (I think)

Coming on well. Re toeclips ALE were widely used at the time as were Christophe and Campagnolo. I like the Campagnolo toestraps but they mark really easily so for use a much cheaper set of Christophe straps and then put the Campagnolo on when ready to hang on wall on your retirement (Campag ones are quite thisk and scuff easily when fitted and removed from holes in pedals.

Yes - that's a great brochure page - I like the head-badge. - I think the seatpost bolt moved in 1988 ish - would be nice to find out how many of these were made -maybe not so many as the chrono was in production around then. (they did actually make some earlier frames with bolt on top (see pic in Moser's garage in magazine article)
