This was Specialized’s top alloy bike back in the day, and it handles really well. I’ve kept everything stock except for adding a Wheels Manufacturing conversion kit and removing the smaller ring on the chainset. Tyres are 25mm Gatorskins, front one probably needs replacing in a few hundred miles. I’ve also added Mk 2 Crud Catcher mudguards to keep the mud off my arse, a Hope anodised seat post clamp, Cane Creek brake levers, Tiagra brakes, and some decent sealed bearing flat pedals. (In the interests of honesty I should point out that this frame was crashed once years ago, but the only damage that I can see is that the right rear dropout is very slightly bent inwards. It's so slight that there isn't even any paint bubbling or cracking, and there is no damage elsewhere on the frame. It makes rear gears a tiny bit finicky, but has no bearing on the frame when used as a singlespeed. Obviously it is up to the buyer to instruct a competent bike shop to perform a comprehensive safety inspection before riding and I cannot accept any liability for any faults or failures.)
I’m currently in Lancashire, but I can manhandle it down to London if needs be. Selling because training to be a barrister is really fucking expensive!!
Asking £300 ono. PM me or write here if interested.

So I'm in the bizarre situation of needing to convert a 10 speed Tiagra hub to singlespeed. I've got a Wheels Manufacturing kit for 8/9 speed Shimano freehub; will that fit?
I've seen other kits saying that they're compatible witrh 7/8/9/10 so I can't think there'd be an inherent incompatibility, but what about the width?
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm studying at a London uni later this September and I'd really like to buy a beater just to save me going to Tesco on my Cervelo. :P So, either a...
**Cheap singlespeed. **Needs to be solid, well-loved; i.e. I don't want it to be falling apart every minute. Budget of maybe £100-200, flexible if bike suitably pornographic.
Or, an **internal hub bike **to double up as a winter bike. I live in the Pennines, so I need some gears. Discs would be a huge plus. Budget a little more generous, obviously.
Killer thing is that I'm quite tall- 6 foot 5. Prefer 180mm cranks. Anyone got anything? :)

Chap runs a red light, nearly hitting an old lady. I yell, and catch up with him at the next red. Am presented with a tiny, tiny Indian chap in a Playmobil helmet.
"What was that?"
"Mate, you nearly hit that woman, the light was on red."
"Rules are meant to be broken. You don't know who you're dealing with. I've got connections. Serious connections. I'll knock you out."
"Mate."
"I'll fucking shoot you. And your fucking family."And he then ran a red to run away too. The big girl's blouse.
