I'm considering taking the landrover off the road for a while to repair the bulkhead, generally tighten everything up and replace all oils and filters and the exhaust. Hopefully a lick of paint too. Thinking this shade of olive drab.

Ate shit pretty hard yesterday, tried to air over a 15-20ft wooden box in the stash but I ended up hitting it way too fast, clearing it by loads and coming down on the flat after on my face/shoulder/elbow. No clue how I'm not hurt worse. All I am is a little dazed with some minor neck pain.

Moral of the story is, don't get over confident on the last run of the day...

Well it all depends on conditions really but the last couple of times it's been really icy or slushy so I've mostly just jammed in whatever park is available.

Snowboarding is probably the only sport I do where I choose to pad the fuck up.

Currently knee pads, butt/coccyx pads, back protector and helmet. Honestly they've all saved me from serious pain at one point or another.

Hardly a crash is it... lost traction, got scared then tried to get off the gas and correct it resulting in some lift off oversteer?

All seems a bit dramatic for what should be a planted, modern mid engined car. What do I know though, never driven a Ferrari or anything else remotely exotic.

Classic minis are stupid fun. I'd like a go in a morris minor or Austin a30 for super low speed sideways action on skinny crossply tyres.

Also the Effetto Mariposa tape puts all other tape and glue to shame and makes clinchers seem like a hastle.

After my puncture this weekend I've just glued on my new tyres, gone for a slightly less aggesssive rear tread heading into spring.

They argued that I could have gone to the post office and had it sorted out by applying for a new v5c saying I'd lost mine and paid the fee for a new one. I guess I could have, didn't fancy trying to argue any further. Just happy to have my car released.

Spent all day on the phone and I've sorted out the tax for the landrover and have a new logbook on the way. They basically admitted their error and said 'oh we've just received the application (which I never made) and you should have it in a few weeks'

In the meantime I've spent 2 days trying to contact the people who clamped me and they've not answered the phone once. When am I within my rights to remove the clamp myself? I can do so without causing any damage to it.

I got a v11 for the mini within about 5 days of buying it to remind me to make a SORN. With the Citroen I simply waiting for the v5c then taxed it with that.

Same here really, I've either had to wait for the full v5 to arrive (citroen) or wait to get a v11 reminder. None of which have showed up in this case :/
