Where in NZ are you moving to? I'm out in Marlborough at the moment. With any scooby just make sure the cambelt and waterpump has been done by the 160k km mark, headgaskets are something to look out for on the turbo models too. There are plenty of cheap turbo and non turbo ones out here if you don't mind an automatic. I was torn between b4 legacy and the legnum but I went for the legnum just because they're a little quirky.

Update on other cars in my life:
Mini is gone (long story, law suit soon come)
Bought a lupo for a couple hundred quid, left it in Ireland as a runaround.
Got given a mazda bongo, also in Ireland.
Going to NZ for 6 months to work, will buy a KP Starlet and bring it back if I can afford to.
Went to a Subaru meet, have a serious hankering (what’s wrong with me?)

Not been on here in ages but here’s a little landy update.
Drove to Ireland and back.
It broke down: fuel pump, cost about £800 to set this right because the tank had to be dropped and I’d just filled up...
It got straight piped: sounds like an absolute beast now.
Got the winch working: dirty contacts on PTO was all that was wrong.
Went greenlaning on a whim last night: very very nearly rolled it, got to use the winch to help my mate and his forester out. Lost a mudflap.

Will do, had it on today and it was a little smelly. Gonna start with a CO alarm.
I did want a 130 but I didn’t want a pick up and the cost/work involved in making a 130 station wagon was more than I wanted right now.
Got around to pulling most of the cabinet and cage out of it today. Off work this week so hopefully I’ll get the rest of it out, start insulating the backand be able to start on a minor sound system plus install a middle front seat.

Sussed out the diesel space heater in the rear of the landy, had no idea it was in there and the seller had no clue what it was. Turns out it's a fairly expensive bit of kit which is a nice bonus considering I'll probably end up using this as a bit of a camper.
Just need to figure out how to utilise AC power (where the inverter is etc) it's meant to have split charging and 2 batteries but I've only found 1 so far.

Wasn’t happy with the v8 I went to look at, conveniently found the perfect td5 so decided to go for if. 2006 model 110 utility.
LEZ friendly and should be decent on fuel once I get rid of the mud terrains and do an EGR blank.
Returned only 26mpg on a 220 mile run from Torquay to London. Pulls like a fucking train compared to my last one. -
Any of you lot got any real world experience with LPG?
I'm in the market for a new landy and am considering either a td5 or a v8 running LPG as both should cost about the same to run but a v8 considerably cheaper to buy even with LPG system fitted. I'd really like a td5 because 5 cylinders are awesome but I'm not feeling too confident in buying a diesel right now.

EBB, this is the one 9 so designed to run single speed with their own BB but they also include routing and a mech hanger if gears are required. It's also beefed up a bit so it's stiffer than the air 9. Do pay for that with a weight penalty though. Frame came in at over 1600g naked with no BB insert or anything.

Clean up the paintwork on the bonnet, probably ditch the shouty BOV and boost gauge as it's got a blitz turbo timer that displays boost. It's got a big old jap cannon on at the moment that looks ugly and is annoyingly quiet so I'll probably ditch that for some shotguns and do a cat delete if it has any (fully legal here). It's plenty fast enough for now so I'm just gonna go through it and do all the routine maintenance.
