Cheers, that was exactly what I wanted going into the build. The JYD but less heavy, with discs and not 2 sizes too small. That bike was still insanely fun.

I picked mine up from Stif, they have the alloy one on sale at £300 and the Carbon for £700. Long boi sizes only. Tracking down a matching fork wasn't so easy or cheap though.

Winter is for single speeds, right?

Just got a call to work which means I'm gonna need an estate car/pick up/van to lug tools and such around in. Most vans seem to be off limits with my current insurer.

Subaru is gonna get sold because they're so common I could easily find another. Tempted to go and view this.

Has there been much discussion about the ULEZ in this thread? All cars in the classic tax bracket are meant to be exempt which is nice.

True but I do miss all the space and being able to chuck in a few fully built bikes. Don't miss plodding along doing 60mph but do miss 30+ MPG.

Keep seeing nice landrovers and wondering why I own 2 normal cars that both basically do the same thing. Apart from electrics the lancia does everything better than the subaru... It's just as quick, it handles better, is better on fuel, nicer seats and driving position and the rear seats fold down flat.

I think it has one after too, will examine further when I get a chance.

I really should stop dumping time and money into the subaru and figure out the parasitic draw on the lancia.

Not so bad, I (and 3 passengers+a bike) had to be taken from Fort William back to london when my coil pack died, it took 4 different recovery trucks, 2 hotel rooms and a courtesy car.

The muffler delete was unplanned and is only temporary, have a sensible 2.5" rear section waiting for me when I get home.

Indeed, It's currently only running with the cats in and no muffler so with decat it'll be running resonated and with the glasspack. I'm willing to give it a go knowing me I'll get pulled over for it

Hmmm it'll have the muffle back in by then so that should quieten it down a little, I think I'm young enough to enjoy loud cars. Beetle was monstrously loud. That said I think if you have a loud scooby you're automatically a cunt.

No insane camber for me but I'm probably gonna lower it a little, there's so much I wanna do to it but I also know I'll replace it soon so there's no point.
