The steerer looks too long for the medium. I'd say it's a large. Also the cable hanger's been cut off. No problem if you're gunna ride fixed, but does limit your choice of brakes.

Just bought some giro chamber mids. So far I'm more than happy. Comfy on and off the bike and look pretty good too. Build quality seams excellent.

I'm not from Bristol, so you might get better advice off the locals. When I'm drinking in Bristol I'll often go to the Barley Mow. They serve about 8 local ales on hand pull and about the same number of craft beers, plus loads of bottled stuff.

That's the same gearing I used when riding my old pomp for polo. I managed to get a 16t on the other side to give a reasonable gear to get to the courts on.
