I just bought that self same stand and it seems solid and dependable. Big wide feet so nice and stable and all the joints and knobs and stuff are big and chunky. I have only had it a few weeks and used it a handful of times and it has worked fine so far. I would recommend.
Of course, it might fall apart after six months and then I would change my mind, but honestly, it doesn't feel like that will happen.
I have no connection with the people who sell or make these.

^^^^ I gave my old bike to a friend. It had a quick release seat post, so I used to have a cable lock wrapped around the seat rails for the purpose of locking saddle to bike when locked. There was also a cheap (but reasonable given the age of the bike) D lock. I gave said friend a couple of minutes' tuition on locking bikes (round the frame and something permanent such as railing, lampost etc). However, saw her a few days later and she only had the seat and the cable lock left. She had locked it like this...
I was annoyed having had the bike for like ten years or more without it going missing. Then I remembered, it was hers now, so not my loss. But still....

Bit of a reach, but you know that old frame, that you decided not to use, with the 120mm dropouts at the back? Did you use it in the end, or would you consider selling that? It looks my size, and I would love to replace the frame I am using.. which is 27" specific - I just do not like the long drop brakes that I have to use with it. Your old frame looks much tighter on those 700 wheels and I would have a go at cold setting.
PM if you are interested.. fine if not. Just asking.

Thanks. Huge reach, but they are quite similar to what I already have, so I will pass. But thanks.
