Great thread, nice seeing the progression on all of the bikes! I'm glad you went black for the Argos rear, it looks better, and that fork is going to look class.

Di2 runs on CAN bus, so is most likely a really dumb microcontroller in a low power state waiting to be brought out of it if an input (attached to the shift lever) changes. If it does, it sends the CAN message to the derailleur and it's done.
Edit: CAN bus is the main comms protocol used in cars in case anyone's interested

For anyone who's interested, Libra for Android is a great app.
After my morning weigh-in, I enter my weight and body-fat percentage and it updates a graph with a 7 day rolling average and trend line. The trend line is really easy to compare to a blue goal line, which is really good motivation.
It tells me roughly what calorie deficit I've been running and can export data. Would recommend

The only riding I've done over the last 6 weeks has been commuting, so as the pressure from uni is starting to subside, this sunny Sunday morning was perfect to get back out on the bike.
The ride was just under 30 flat miles around some local Manchester lanes. No bad drivers, no crowded roads and surprisingly reasonable pace. So pleased to be back on the bike, I'm very much looking forward to more summer weekends right now!

I used an extra on my cross-check down the pacific coast of the US, never missed a beat, and wasn't too padded with bib-shorts. It's not pretty, but it's fucking comfy. Be ready for a bit more of a nose-up position if you're sat pretty upright on the tourer though

Not nearly as comprehensive as the other replies, but I've been trying to get rid of sugary exam-period snacks and have been going for the quorn savoury eggs or cocktail sausages. They're not the cheapest but couldn't be easier and are tasty enough too

Reading this I thought the sanding idea was going to come out terrible but it actually looks decent! Brown saddle and rim stickers need to go though. Dirt drops are a must.
