La Pavoni Professional espresso machine for sale
£SOLD inc. handmade tamper from madebyknock
Excellent condition, chrome La Pavoni Professional (pre-millenium edition) with pressure gauge with steam wand.
One of the last models to feature the brass piston, for those that are interested in these things, so to many this will be better than buying a new one. The new, ‘post-millenium’ models replaced the brass with cost-saving plastic parts, to the chagrin of coffee snobs everywhere, and people are taking these models and paying for brass pistons to put back into them. Something to do with heat retention, but this already has it so you needn’t bother. More info here. http://www.lapavoni.it/model.asp?id=22. New version, RRP £689, although i have seen them go for around £550.
Used max. 20 times so it’s in excellent condition and it’s designed to last a lifetime. It’s been in a cupboard at my mums for most of its years. Never really found the time to get the hang of it. It needs a bit of practice to get the best results but, as with all good things in life, a bit of searching around the internet will surely give you the pleasure you deserve. I never quite reached that point, hence the sale here today.
Includes brand new Knock tamper in English Walnut wood, worth 25 quid (for 49mm basket size) and all the original accessories including portafilter, double basket and milk frothing device. It’s never been descaled and there’s hardly any scale, so that tells you something positive I hope.
Collection from Walton on Thames, 23mins from London Waterloo on the train. If you buy it I'll knock a tenner off to cover your ticket.

Dave Marsh Lo Pro 56/57/54cm
£SOLD
The last time it was up for sale here we were looking at £300 (it was reduced thanks to one of the worst cases of stuck seatposts, which is now sorted thanks to the expertise of a network rail engineer)
Most of the rest of the increase is due to a bunch of new additions which can be included in the sale and it’s set up like this, so i’d rather sell complete. This includes a new White Industries freewheel, fitting a new bottom bracket, adding a System Ex seatpost, 2x goldfinger brake levers, Odyssey trailmix bmx pedals, 2x NOS Shimano 105 brake calipers with new Kool Stop salmons, new brake cabling.
Otherwise, £300 if you want to go back to how the bike would be without the above extras. I’ll take various levels of discounts if you don’t want anything particular of the above. Will not be split further.
Here’s the details:
Dave Marsh Low Profile TT Frame (700x700c)
Fitted with a Campagnolo Chorus 1" Headset
Frame Sizing: 56cm Seat-tube (CTC) / 57cm Seat-tube (CTT) / 54cm Top-tube (CTC)
For 700c size wheels front and rear
125mm rear spacing / 100mm front spacing
Campagnolo drilled track ends
Shimano fork dropouts
Steel (BLB reckon it's Reynolds 753 after comparing it to their very own La Pivora frame and openly saying they'd rather have this haha!). Dent on down tube and various nicks, but this is one tough and light frame.
Frame is straight
One noticeable dent in the NDS down-tube from the bike falling on one side whilst in storage. However the steel is thick and other than the paint being chipped around the dent it is purely cosmetic. Could easily be rolled/filled at a welder near you!

Solid reliable ride. Most recently serviced last summer with new brake pads, gears nicely indexed, seems the front brake hydraulic fluid needs refilling (can only cost about a fiver but no time to sort it myself). Carbon fibre seatpost and handlebars.
Will throw in a spare set of tyres if you want them, 26x2.3 Conti Vertical Protection (pre the Black Chilli compound).

Basso Coral road bike 53cm
My wife rode this a handful of times since bought off this very forum last summer (it was never quite the right size for her and I never got round to putting it back up online, and now we’re moving house.) Been dry stored ever since.
Here’s the original sales thread: http://www.lfgss.com/thread89981.html
450 Euros ~ £380 but I’ll take SOLD today.
It really is a beaut of a bike in person, real light too. Am around all weekend, so come and have a look (Camberwell, or can meet anywhere in Zone 1. *update - can post within UK)
As per original thread:
sizes:
seattube 53 cm c-t
toptube 52 cm c-cFrame: Columbus Cromor tubing
“The bike has a full Shimano 105 groupset: front/rear mech, crankset, brakeset and hubs. Mavic sup rims
“Perfect condition, hardly been ridden, the bike is near to new. Only some storage scratches on the toptube.”
Will donate on sale.
Cheers

i'm happy to adjust the price for maximum forum happiness, i haven't seen the same model in as good condition.
Revised downwards to £300. Don't forget this includes a new hardwood tamper.
