Many years ago I took the Plymouth - St Malo ferry with a tandem, which leaves you only a couple of TER journeys away from Nantes.
Every website will discourage you from taking tandems on trains. It seems like Cross Country have free bike spaces, but they say no tandems. In my experience it's always a risk but it tends to work out if you have no shame. In the French TERs I already hung our tandem upright near the toilet, just made sure it was safe and not blocking anyone's way. In the one or two events we didn't manage to board we were lucky to be able to wait for the next train and try again. Rules are applied by people, and some people are nice.
I know nobody wants to plan and buy tickets for a long trip knowing that it can fail at any point, and it may well be that rules are stricter now than 10 years ago. But my hunch is that if you find a way to get the bike to Plymouth you'll be fine.

Honestly, that's kind of you to say, thanks. I only recently started doing organized events like this (running, triathlon), and it's always best to leave my cynicism at the door. Only not going to ask for a timestamp on the medal cause it'll make for grim reading.
Shuttle bus booked on the website, it was me being thick. Now to spend the next months procrastinating and panic at the last minute.

Thread dresge, but I applied to this year's Etape on a whim and now it's dawning on me I have no idea how to do this.
We'll depart from Geneva-ish, so I can get there somewhat easily for the day of the ride. However, I'll have things. Clothes. Stuff. Once we set off to Morzine, what happens to it? I'm not carrying it with me obvs?
Then in Morzine there's no train. Doesn't sound as bad as the event above thread, but still, all accommodation is already booked and I need to get out of there somehow. No way I'm riding a single metre more than I need to for the event. And where's my stuff?!
In short, help.

A base to start from, could you take a better shot? Dimensions would help loads too.
The Micro you posted from retrobike seems to have much thicker thin lines, and the radius of the corners seem bigger too. It depends whether you want to redo the word Tandem as is on the bike, or replicate the Micro effect more. Up to you.

Every once in a while I see people wanting to replicate lettering/graphics for restoration. I'm happy to help, just ping me with photos and I'll return a vector file that can be used to print new decals. In no rush. It's a fun thing to do with a beer in hand as long as you don't go all client on me.
