Just cos we can't afford it doesnt mean it;s not a fair price. If this bike was £600-700 I would've bought it already. And it would be five years ago. There's a Nuovo Classico on Retrobike for about £890, not as nice as this. People are wetting themselves over there.

Does the Columbus sticker say it's SL? I can't make it out. Or is it too worn to tell?

Hope you got a second opinion. My GP told me to stop running when my knee gave in but had decency to refer me to hospital experts. Nothing wrong with my knee at all, just had to do some stretches.

I got this on eBay last year, advertised as a Basso 53cm but I think it's closer to 55cm. It was about £85 plus postage.
There are some Basso decals and even a little bit of pantographing but it's not especially light. It's steel (that black stuff in the pictures is rust) but not Columbus of any type. Campagnalo Mirage chainset and derailleurs, some kind of Shimano Ultraglide cassette.The breaks are Suntour GPX, levers are Exage. Wheels: Rigida. Tyres are pretty new but nothing special. Tape is new (I had it put on before I realised this wasn't going to work out).
Biggest issue is the rear axle. It's rusty, it slips so every time you break you've got to get off the damn thing and reset the wheel. I'm guessing that's an easy fix. Oh and it needs a new bracket to stop the seatpost slipping too. Other than that, everything works (I've only ridden it once or twice).

It's not exactly a find. But it's something like a De Rosa at a not insane price. If I was richer and taller I'd buy it.
