Lamb chop is the base? I've done a pea-mint-mascarpone sauce for lamb which worked well I thought. (Boil peas in stock, blend, add fresh mint, blend fine, stir cheese in while slightly warm)
Blue potato mash looks great - use chefs rings to present.
Add LOADS of butter and serve with the asparagus, excellent colour pop!

In other news, made a quick roux with butter and ultra fine corn meal...used it to thicken a cold coronation-like-yoghurt to go with prawns..tres interesting, taste and texture were good. Will have to try again, maybe experimental bechamel...

hollandaise would be better...but not as much on the lamb....maybe a lite (<--on the vinegar aspect) garlic hollandaise?

I go into a store and 80% of the time there's someone who has just had a puncture.
Then I hear the shop say "leave the bike and get it back in 24 hrs or whatever, and it'll cost £XXX."
I see their little face crushed, and the furrow as they determine how to get home/work and then back to the shop.

Each time I think of saying "buy a tube, step aside and give me 5 mins". Then I think, "I'm late, can't stop and help."

As nice as it is to meet peeps you're collecting stuff from, it could be a location to pick up small items from, provided you guys had the space and proviso on other logistical problems this might bring up, like potential theft... maybe there could be a donation point for ppl to drop some change into for the service. dunno, just thinking out loud.
