As far as having an affordable decent bike 700c is definitely the way to go. My whole bike owes me less than £300 and I'm not changing it anytime soon.
I recently built a 26er because I was tempted by the dark side and was offered a cheap travel Marino. I've tried my hardest but I hate the thing, and the build weren't cheap, probably selling it some time soon.

26- pretty much have to have an expensive polo spec frame, most of which far too extreme and twitchy.
700c- disposable frames- most frames will do. A cm or two of Wheelbase counts for very little as long as it handles well.

Courts are getting consistently bigger in competition so top end speed is way more important. Go biggggg.

Yeh man, shame theres not much of it, basically the guy is doing a huge arty type project for another client involving red uhmw rods at different lengths. The stuff i'm getting is the various sized offcuts from the project. I didn't even think about asking him about other colours?

Why not sort it out according to who is on the list but still leave it open to teams if they want to join up to the date of the tourney? Seems sensible?

The heads should be delivered to me by next week, from then ill start dishing them out. Seeing as these are going so quickly i've spoken to my plastic guy, and reserved some more red for another batch, thinking about changing up the design up for the next batch though (ideas welcome).
