Our 3 bed terrace, small garden, sold in Old Trafford/Whalley Range (M16) for £240k. It's about 10min walk down to Chorlton, so a good periphery area.
In Chorlton, you'd have to add about 100k+ to that. For example, this is probably similar size to what we sold, but with a slightly bigger garden and it's slap bang in middle of Chorlton http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-70102778.html
Most desireable area of Chorlton is Beech Rd. And Chorlton Green. Maybe 350k upwards could get you something nice.
In Didsbury, probably looking at £400k upwards. There's Didsbury Village and West Didsbury. Both nice, with bars & restaurants. Both similarly priced. Maybe West Dids a bit more.
e.g - West Dids 4 four bed, not slap bang in West Dids, but it's a 5min walk http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52267185.html
e.g - Dids village 3 bed, http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-62880508.html
I'd go these areas depend on budget, for 3 or 4 beds:
Old Trafford - 180k to 250k
Whalley Range - 200k to 300k (bit of crossover in these two areas)
Heaton Moor - 325k to 400k
Chorlton & Didsbury - 350k anywhere up to a million hahah, a million pounds (more beds)I'm not up to speed on other places, but yeah Levenshulme, Cheadle, Altrincham worth a look. Sale and Stretford border Old Trafford, so some cross over there again. Withington and Fallowfield are primarily student areas. But Withington borders Didsbury, and it's possible to find similar size houses for a bit less dosh.

What guarantee does the buyer or the lender have that the bank will not close, planning permission go in for change of use and the premises re-open as a bar/club, or chicken shop, or undertakers?
Good point.
(I could tell the lender that the bank would never close, 'cos the area is known as 'four banks', with four banks on each corner of a junction, and if it became a chicken shop, well... you couldn't call it 'three bank and a kansas chicken' could you... no way)

This is the most infuriating thing I've ever tried to do (buy crypto currency).
Does anyone use Cryptomate? I'm trying to buy ripple on there and I just get a buffering screen when I click to confirm the order.
EDIT - re: Kraken. I registered. Took about 24-36 hours to verify. Shitter to tranfer euros to though. Cost a tenner. And didn't transfer enough to buy the coin I wanted 'cos there's a frigging mininum order amount. So it'll cost me another tenner. Bastards. Think they'd have a simple warning in place to prevent that shit, given all the malarky to sign up to these sodding shitting fuckers.

I've looked at a few, lots seem to have a backlog, but I've joined cryptomate as that sells the two I was thinking about.
Looking at rippex for the ripple wallet. But ultimately getting something like the nano s ledger to store all coins offline.
It's a right headfuck. (especially this bizness of needing 20 ripple to open your ripple wallet or whatever)
