I've had this Clark Kent Ti - 500 road frame for a few years now, after buying it off a club mate, believing it was a Serotta.
It's actually an Ivo Vinklarek made Clark Kent from, it's believed, around 1994-6. It's very lovely and I'm very attached to it. I had 'wanted' to sell it as my Rourke is replacing it as my 'A' bike. But I couldn't. So after selling all the bits I would need to build it back up, I'm starting again!
In its previous guises it was built up with Record Ti and carbon bits, but now I've decided to drop some 90's/early 2000/modern Bontrager bits on, for no other reason than it's an American frame and forks and Keith is a bit of a dude, has a lone association with the shop and still pops into BC when he's in London.
As the bikes came with DA originally I'm going to break my Campag habit and have found some 9001 shifters and 9000 mechs for cheaps, I feel like I have sold my soul.
The frame is identical to this one and here is the bike in some of its previous guises in my ownership and in my favourite set up, below.

Around this time last year I bought the 'bin end' of a lovely old fellas cycle jumble. There was a load of stuff and it took an age to sort out. I've sold a few bits, used a few, swapped a few, helped people out with bits and all things being equal, I've had my money's worth and some fun to boot.
The money from this sale will be split between the Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome and this very forum.
Apart from Chutney, our beloved Jack Russell, everything in the photos is for sale. It's a right old mix but there are some gems in there rest assured. I've also lobbed in two Rapha tops and some caps that didn't sell on here too.
I won't split, post or take dibs, however I will make you a cup of tea when you come to collect it from SE1
Any questions please ask, more photos here, apologies I know my phone camera is knackered.
£100 all in>£90 ono>£80 for me to donate, or proof of a reasonable donation to the afore mentioned places> FREECYCLE + donationThe jumble will next be available next Tuesday evening 5-30 to 6-30
Cheers
Rob

Here it is 1000 and a bit miles in. Cranks are on now and they finish it off perfectly.
I love it. It's served me equally well commuting/at work and out training/clubruns/pub runs and it's really part of the family again.
The forks are very impressive bits of kit, especially with the SON dropouts. The wheels are a bit of a revelation too. Them HED Belgiums are awesome rims. The brakes are the best thing though. Being 16stone and this being a heavy bike, they work wonderfully well, when I naked this Apex out, I'm def going hydro :)
It was a great experience getting the work done and one I'm very grateful for.

I agree with your sentiments on this @branwen
I can understand some of @7ven 's frustration, but my Rourke has taken nearly a year, due to me, parts issues, 3rd parties, factory moves etc etc and I had some forks made at Talbot that took about 4 months to get sorted. But from the out set with both of those projects I didn't really expect anything else to be honest.
At the end though, I will have two amazing bikes that are totally unique, designed to my requirements (which where a bit of a challenge for starters) and my enjoyment of them will well out last any of the sullen mornings where I wished I had them there and then.
I also really value the time I have spent through both processes with people I would have never otherwise met. It's led into some great relationships both at Talbot and Rourke, and that means prob as much to me as the bikes.
Hopefully you'll love and cherish this bike and the experience of being a part of its creation, even if your feeling fed up with it now.
