@44/17 I hear what you're saying (and I'm certainly no expert) but isn't it the chainring that has bent and not the bcd crank? If anything isn't it the chainring/component that has failed?
Chainline was pretty sweet from what I can tell, no drag and felt pretty spot on up until a few days ago. Started noticing that when I applied pressure or went up hill there was slight drag/sound. I don't like sound! But put it down to me being overly fussy! Turns out I should listen to my fussiness! Skidding? I've haven't done a skid since the 80's :) -
Same thing happened to me last night! Not happy, only had it fitted a couple of weeks ago... back with bike shop now and there is an eerie silence from them so far.... will see what they say but this thread has helped me to know what the possible reason was and not as they said "I must have strong legs!!"

I had insurance for first few years but then stopped it as I was reluctant to leave it and run the risk of it being pinched anyway. I now very rarely leave my bike in public places and have had it for about 8-9 years.
I'd say spend 'insurance money' on decent locks etc and be picky about where you leave it. -

Nice, I still have a few good years left in me. Really looking forward to competing and maybe picking up a PB on the way
