It is 9kg as is with the worlds heaviest wheels not helping that figure. Im hoping for about 8.5kg with the wheels that will go on eventually. I don't think thats too bad considering the 105/tiagra mix

Do rim brakes even work in those kind of conditions?

When conditions are like that you don't need to slow down, the struggle is keeping moving.

Also once the mech starts to fill up with grass it can lock up and is snapped of quite easily. Hence no spoke devastation...

If you really dont like the pedals, you can quite easily get the bolt drilled out.

Well if its a road race bike its likely to be around 73º, making the stem about parallel (give or take .5º or so) at 17º

17º stem to make it parallel to the floor. For around 20 the deda zero1 is nice, but doesn't come in 17º only 6º.

Cables and torque wrench arrived today! Hopefully the rest of the bits will arrive soon so i can get it built up and on the road.

So I recently brought a De Rosa team. I think its a 2004/5 model (if anyone knows any different please share). Aluminum with a full carbon fork.

The plan is to build it up to use as a race bike/fair weather ride. The groupset and wheels are coming off my current bike to try and keep costs down.

You want something like that I imagine. The shrink tape should give a good fix, as it will set the carbon tight.

Might also have something to do with them having to be bikes. If it didnt have a drive then it wouldnt really count surely?
