the first couple of threads are stripped on the plastic cup, would still work fine though if the shell threads were fine.
Just rang them and was told to email pictures to the returns department, sounded like they just want to give me a new frame, irritating as ive already installed headset etc. Might be worth it though, i was just quoted £15-25 to have it chased. -

Ive posted already in bb qs but i need help asap as i need to return the tool to apolloxl who's kindly lent it to me.
Brand new pompino frame, the threads in the bb shell have sharpish lumps where the chainstays join. This is stripping the threads on the plastic shimano cup. Am I doing something wrong? Do I take a file to them? Or do I phone up One-One and ask them why they can't cut clean threads and ask for a new frame?
Thanks,

hey,
fitting a shimano bottom bracket into a brand new pompino frame, the threads in the bottom bracket shell are interrupted by lumps from the chainstay joint, causing the plastic cup to strip as it goes in. Tempted to get a file out but dont want to void any help from On-One.
Any advice from experienced bottom bracket fitters? Is it a case of taking the frame back or filing off the lumps and carrying on?
Thanks,

Hi
My lockring threads stripped today so I'm after a rear wheel, ideally fixed/fixed and a v rim. Budget is quite limited so something used but working would be great.

^ this would have been perfect.
I'm based in London and will come and pick it up.
Cheers
