Looking for a Dutch style town/shopper bike for a 5 foot 2 lady. Frame size ideally 14-15 inches.

Happy arrange and pay for delivery or collect in person.

Hello - Looking for some advice on buying a bike for my girlfriend who is 5 foot 2. We're really struggling to get her a nice town bike where the frame size goes small enough to accomodate her diminutive frame.

Would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions of particular brands or models.

This is why I generally don't do courtesy stops unless I'm absolutely sure there is nothing coming up behind. So difficult to predict how the numpty peloton are going to react.

I had the classic angry, baldy, fat chav experience this morning.

Going round the gyratory at Surrey Quays heading West. Traffic is stacking so I tuck in infront of our hero. He immediately beeps the horn (we're stationary), I ignore him. He starts screaming something in yobbo out the window, I ignore him. Traffic starts crawling forward again, I'm still infront of him and he's still shouting out the window and I'm still ignoring him. Then the road opens up and he pulls alongside but has lost his boldness so I laugh condescendingly at him, he makes with the 'very small penis' mime and then runs the red light because he wasn't paying attention. What an odd chap.

Ach well, you get what you pay for. I paid for a decent bike stand that will get occasional use. No complaints.

I got the Aldi one - Really good value. Will stand up to anything unless you are trying to mount anything REALLY heavy in it.

Perfect if you're just doing a bit of fettling a couple of times a week.

Should be over to my side apparently. He asked me what I was going to do about it to which I replied "report you to the Police". He told me to shut up and sped off in a cloud of diesel smoke to sit in the queue 100 yds away.

All - Bit short notice but I'm heading out this evening with a few LCCers and other Lewisham cyclists for a training ride for the Prudential 100.

Ribble customer service notoriously poor. I gave up trying to get them to fix my broken wheels under warranty and just bought new ones. Lesson learned.

His positioning is often dodgy and he gets himself involved in situations that he should walk away from. But he's a top bloke, I've met him a few times (I'm in one of his vids!). Definitely on another planet though.

Looking to get rid of my old commuting roadie which is starting to show its age and replace it with a Fuji Feather, Charge plug etc or similar. Preferably in black or dark coloured. To fit someone 5"10 ish and not running a crazy Chris Hoy gear ratio.

Deffo - His account tweeted the pic and caption. He was unrepentant for a bit and then people starting tweeting it to TFL and the rozzers and he deleted his account. Stagecoach replied to one of the tweeterers by e-mail to say he had been "identified" and sunmmoned for disciplinary.

It was his account that posted the original picture - Then halfway through his lynching he deleted the trippy_jopz account and a dummy account sprung up threatening to meet people at Catford bus garage for a fight (I was one of the lynchers).

Sadly he wasn't there when I got to Catford. I'm told Stagecoach called him in for a disciplinary.

WTF was going on on Brixton Road this morning? It was mayhem. Lots of drivers pulling in and out of junctions without warning/looking, a lady with a pushchair and a toddler just stood in the middle of the road trying to cross and 4 idiots going up the inside of a clearly indicating lorry at the Brixton/Oval junction.

Must be a full moon tonight. I had a bloke walk his family, including two small children, out into the traffic between two buses opposite Westminster tube just as the lights went green. Looked at me like I was an alien for suggesting he instead used the crossing 20 feet away.

Sorry to hear about this - I've had quite a few near misses around there from people hammering it up and down that path.

I wonder if it would be possible to get a sign appealing for help near where the accident happened? Most people who use that path at commuting time do so regularly so he probably passes there most days. Alternatively, could someone head down there and keep a look out for him on a couple of mornings?
