Bought a frameset for a mate, came with a kinda freebie seatpost, the cradle part got lost in transit. Its a nice carbon seatpost otherwise. Its 100% compatible with my Hylix seatpost's part. Let me know if youve got one, or if youve got a 27.2 seatpost youd like to get rid of so I can get my mates bike rolling!
Cheers

Naaah thats for not wasting a shifter cable on this setup that I just mocked up so I can use it on the turbo :) And if I need excuses, dont worry, I'll find one :D
Todays progress:

Why the bridge? there will be an extra 2cm spacers in there -which, looking at the pics above isnt that bad-, and this will connect with a -hopefully- more elegant solution than the factory one to hold the Profile design bottle between the TT extensions. At the end of that there will be a garmin console too. Maybe.
Im planning to make these from compression moulded carbon, mostly from "forged" carbon with a few sheets in the middle running all across. Following this tutorial:

This looks worse than what I could come up with by the time I finished my coffee.
(replaced in black , but also slammed the stem since..) -
Thanks, I was quite happy with how the crank-chainring combo turned out! Although for proper use it'll have a black Force22 crank on, because thats what ive got with a powermeter.
@Retro_Bastard Its a Vitus Chrono TT from around 2014-2016. Previous owner already took off most of the stickers, but I cleaned the rest. Selcof basebar and TT extensions, and it'll have the TRP mini-v brakes both front and back.

Hired a road bike once, was bored shitless...
I quite liked it for road riding. But I lived there for about 6 months, thats was well enough to ride all the roads in the island...twice.
I was thinking of going back for a week next year, maybe it would make a lot of sense to bring my gravel bike instead.

It’s curious that the repair company don’t offer any warranty on the repair it self. Is this the norm across carbon repair places?
They do offer a lifetime warranty for the repair, but its non-transferable.
@hoops -correct me if Im way off- that frame was essentially a £500 repair and a £800 paintjob. Thats a bargain.
Edit @TotalShanner tbf my phrasing was misleading, I said "comes without warranty" which isnt exactly true

Planet-x is selling a few Free-ranger framesets on ebay in different colours, under your budget.
For reference, Im 168cm and I ride a size S Space Chicken, and I love it but its right on point with an 80mm stem. I'd probably size down for her to XS depending on proportions/flexibility.

I dont mean to ruin your business (I'll do anyway), but thats wild. £3.2k for a repaired frame where even the repair comes without a warranty. (Carbonbikerepairs T&C 11.5)
And I say that after having been the happy owner of a repaired carbon frame. But hey, I might be off, and you might sell it in no time, supply & demand etcetc

I originally wanted to do the Californian one with my friend who lives in SF and races road & gravel, but she wont be in the US at the time :(
Wales because UK duh, and Switzerland because a friend of mine conveniently lives 15mins from the race village and works as a mechanic at a mtb hire place... so @leggy_blonde there will be some proper riding involved, not just faffing about on fire roads :)
