Right-o thanks! I believe that's just a 'reset' (per the manual). Hard reset is the stuff i said above.

Yeh, i wonder how they survive. After a big ride i can really struggle to sleep. But i guess they're used to it, and have everything they need to make sure the body unwinds properly with masseurs and ace nutrition etc.
Not like me, who gets in from a ride, has a quick protein/carb shake and shower, then spends too long clattering about the kitchen making a huge mess trying to concoct a recovery meal (unless i've got leftovers defrosted / in the fridge) when i should be sitting down.
Then later roll about on a knobbly roller and do some amateur yoga a bit later when the pros have someone torturing every little knot out of their body.
I guess pros have to put up with all the transfers and media BS too though

I have easy periods of a couple of days at a time, and am aware of the 4 week cyclical thing, but never really do it. So the most i have sustained breaks for is a couple of days at a time, but that's coz i never really feel the need for longer as i never dig myself too huge a hole.
I think i'm feeling a bit shagged at the moment as I all of a sudden (i.e., in the last 3 weeks) did about 4 rides of longer duration than I have done for a bit and probably should have taken a bit longer R&R inbetween to let the TSB stop hovering between about 5 and about -10 so much

Read a thing on the trainingpeaks blog yesterday that frequent dips into -20TSB is BAAAAAAAaaaad.
I know it's all dependent on how resilient you are and if you've got your FTP correct etc, but do people reckon this is true?
I've been feeling distinctly off the boil recently, and looked back at my PMC for the last 18 days, and it's had days of being -27TSB, -23 and -29. It's rarely gone over +5, but on one day did hit +19.
I did wake up this morning feeling totally and utterly shagged. Legs ok but super weary and sleepy. Is this -20 threshold someting that others have experienced?
I've dipped waayyyy lower than -30 before but that tended to be whilst out in the mountains for events etc and so you kinda don't notice so much as it's 'special' occasion

On a similar note to the above, I've had an Edge 1000 for about 2 months now... has been going fine, but updated software a few weeks ago and since then has been doing odd things every now and then...
Went for an outdoor ride mid-week, and when i went to load the course i wanted to ride, it would turn itself off. Fortunately this happened at the start of the ride so didn't lose data etc. It kept on happening and eventually sorted itself out.
This morning i turned it on and the screen froze. The lap and start/stop buttons didn't do anything, so turned it off, and the screen was still on. It eventually turned off, and then when i turned it on again, the screen froze at the startup screen (where it just shows the garmin logo). Looked up how to reset it (holding the power button for 10) and it got going again and after a really quick test, seemed to record data ok.
Anyone had similar? And suggestions for preventing this?

thanks @eyebrows and @negaatio. that's what i'd have thought as it's the standard length for a frame around that size. the cannondale geometry guides don't say which is frustrating

Of all the places to see @amey , it was in the middle of nowhere in the Kentish lanes. Doing his best impression of an 80s squirrel (nibbling on a bag of nuts, backwards cap, cap no helmet).
Good to see you mate. I was having a bit of a mojo fail so was good to stop for a chat.
Ans should be renamed 'anus'. Horrible place
