Just got back. Wired on coffee and full of sausage roll. Was really good, an excellent selection of exhibitors.
Not purchased anything bar food and drink as I've got loads of coffee beans and am skint at the mo, but I definitely know where my next beans are coming from and have a few items to add to my xmas list....

armwarmers under windbreaker must be very very warm and wet. any wool long sleeve with a gilet will get you through most of the south uk winter so the ptj will work. A winter base layer over a normal one helps loads too and if you are sensitive to flapping outer layers.
Or do what countless posters in this thread has done and get a pro team jacket instead of the jersey and ride that with a baselayer.
Ha, only read this after my above post! You read my mind.
PTJ + baselayer = constant winner though to be fair.

Its getting cold and damp now, whats are peoples thoughts on the Gabba vs PTJ to keep me relatively warm whilst not flapping about.
I've been riding in a baselayer, jersey, armwarmers with a windbreaker over the top but the flapping has started to get a bit annoying and its starting to get a bit chillier. Thoughts on both of those is that id be ok riding in just that and a baselayer through most of the winter
I rode in winter leggings, heavy overshoes, longsleeve merino BL and the PTJ for over four hours starting early doors this morning and was nearly too hot. But just opening the jacket and letting the wind in cools you remarkably well. There was a brief shower and the PTJ kept it out fine. Not really experience more intense rain in it though (as it's a close enough fit to easily get a proper rain jacket over the top)
I don't have a gabba, but I don't think it's all that warm? I get the impression it wouldn't be as versatile as the PTJ... but I would like a short sleeve one that could be teamed up with waterproof arm warmers for late spring / early summer etc. Heck of a lot of dough for a short sleeve though

I'm off to Hawksmoor's new gaff tonight, Foxlow
Full review please!
I'm thinking of buying a meal out for my sister and her boyfriend for xmas and this is top of the list for venues.
Menu looks pretty great (and not absurdly pricey), I like that it's clearly a beef specialist but offers a bit of variety too

I have a mate who did the full route and he said similar. It costs naff all and you get all sorts of stuff in the registration.
I've been talked into doing the full route, every time I think about it I feel a bit sick... so, so, so many miles
Did the 160km LBL last year, and it was excellent. The route, fellow riders and organisation were all top-notch.

I have a feckin huge bonce and it fits fine. Fits under my helmet (a large Kask) without any problems too.
It is absolutely boiling though. I took it out that morning (about 3 degrees I think), and after about 20 mins of relatively fast riding I was overheating and had to take it off! Probably one for commuting / posing around town / super cold longer rides.
What's the sizing like? I have an 'above average' head size, although not massive!

Hello, i'm new to these parts. I've not bought anything Rapha before and have read numerous opinions for and against, but i'm going to give it a try and see for myself as part of my winter clothing optional.
I can't decide between the Brevet jersey or the Pro team jacket. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on the merits of each of these?
Also is anyone able to sort me out with a refer a friend so we both get 10% off?
I will if you want....not sure what you do tho?
^ Nice one. Any particular highlights?
