Jackc, can you build a bike of similar spec for less? If so I'd appreciate some tips.
It's running 52/20 right now which is easy. I ride 48/16 usually. I just wanted to reuse the crank. Yeah 52/17 would be tough, but it's just a £5 cog..
Will take off gumtree if that's frowned on here, didn't think it'd be an issue..
In fact might be better to take it off here. Consider it done

Having a clear out of my shed and found a lovely vintage front wheel. It is standard size (700c) and will fit any bike.
It comes with a used but ok tyre (with tan sidewall) and is inflated to correct pressure.
The wheel is a Rigida Chromix (French) in decent condition, the rim is true and the hub runs free and smooth.
Comes with spindle, nuts etc, ready to be bolted on and ridden
PM me if you'd like a picture

Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on what pedals would work well and look right on a vitus 979.
I am currently using shimano 600s with cages, but I'm now looking into getting clip in pedals and shoes for longer rides. Does anyone have any advice on what I should be looking for (80s era)?
If so please send me a PM
Thanks,
Rob -

The sticker says Paul Milnes - which I think is a bike shop in Bradford, so perhaps they resprayed the frame. The frame is certainly Reynolds 531 tubing though, with lovely campag dropouts.
Had quite a fair bit of interest in this frame - could easily be replayed in the colour of your choice if you're not a fan of yellow ; - )
Hi,
Im after an entry level fixed gear, can be bought as bits which I'll build up or as a complete bike. Nothing too special, budget is around £150 or so
Cheers,
Rob
