I’ve always thought the Brompton rim brakes are remarkably good. And I’ve got hydro and cable discs on my other two bikes.

I did an automatix hub a few years ago with interesting results, regretfully sold it. Wanted to try an S2C. Enjoyable way to practice wheelbuilding :)

Going to get a frame sprayed fairly soon, but wondered about getting a braze on front mech hanger. Why is it less common for modern bikes to use the them?

Can anyone explain the market trend for super compact cranksets on road bikes? I get it for gravel + adventure due to carrying luggage, rough terrain, longer duration etc. Just funny to see road go from massive dinner plates down to ~46. Thanks!

I’m on a frame building course soon and have about 8/9cm drop from saddle to bar. I prefer the aesthetic of horizontal, but every ‘instagramable’ bike seems to be designed for someone with a ridiculous leg to torso ratio
