Malaysian, i hear what your saying. Was severely tempted when varno posted those silver open pros with record hubs. But just got to scratch this wood wheel itch. Plus, they are crafted by hand in Italy and are super light too..natures carbon! Reckon they will ride well.
As for the brakes, I thought the opposite was the case..the performance of the deltas were not strong enough compared to modern designs..

Cheers minty. Comments are all good..running brakes on the rims with normal pads can be problematic, as the finish can be worn off easily. This can lead to the rims warping. I'm going to experiment with leather or cork pads to avoid this..fitting them to the delta brakes could be a task though..! Will be running it fixed too, so can avoid braking in most circumstances. Nice to know they are there though.
Build did originally have more colour, but as I amassed the parts it changed into a more classic mash of brown silvery ti goodness..it's a classic build so can't really be having bright anodised bits on it.

Yeah Paul levers are where I'm leaning, would like to see a pic though.. Perhaps try out a Paul duplex lever and keep the bars clean at least on one side..
I'll check out those other veloflex options...the more Italian the better! As for the saddle, I know exactly what's going through your head mate!! ;-) just Pm'd Mr Cow about his saddle, so will see what model/colour it is..

Cheers mate - hope you like the popes on it! Veloflex are lovely, but thinking I'll probably go for skinny plain black tubs, as matching brown/gumwall sides with the shade of wood might be tricky. Perhaps gatorskin tubs, as the brown sides are very subtle and might melt into the wood nicely.
I really want the bars as clean as possible, so I'm planning on controlling the deltas with my mind, or maybe by remote control! But seriously, I'm not sure yet...maybe paul levers or drop levers turned sideways. Any ideas?

Excited about finishing it. My last exam is on 14th June so I'm aiming for that as a completion date. Will deffo build it up with the profiles, but pretty sure they'll be going.
Love the pewter headset, the purple grey shade looks good imho.
My wheel plans have changed loads-from profiles etc to sheriff stars, but realised they weren't too suitable for road use. Ended up emailing Mack with a picture of the sheriffs and he said he could replicate the design..but now I've seen these deltas, I'm leaning towards LF c rec pistas to keep the wheels true to the whole build. Would have loved to see how Mack can craft sheriff stars though, maybe an idea for someone elses build though........Yeah bb is English, Jordan
I'll keep it updated with pics, cheers for interest and comments.

okay I'm sorted for a rear - now need a front - 28H only now as Mr Cow has sorted me out with a NOS 28H rear. I am willing to buy wheels if the hub is already been laced. As long as it's in VGC.
If you have a NOS/VGC set with other holes, let me know as I might be tempted to buy a matching set and sell the 28h rear.
Thanks!
