Vanttera, what did you use for cutting the holes?

I used a hole saw and it butchered the alloy and made terrible mess of it.

Also intrigued, as the one I made had a load of channel sections under the plate to act as structural supports... which I then realised it didn't need most of!

Do you have anything under or just the axle mount supports?

Also, what thickness plate did you use, what process did you use for folding it (never thought of that meself!), and what material did you use for the axle supports?

Would love to try the CX 23mm wide carbon rims, but as I already had one ZTR Iron Cross, it made sense to get one more and use them.

Damn, those Hollowgram cranks are a lot more expensive than I'm willing to pay, at least for now.

I was looking at the Ritchey stuff anyway, but as I can get the Rose own brand that weighs much the same and costs £100 for stem and post, I am tempted.

Am using an old Arione standard saddle at the mo, still deciding if I like it, but will be going for something lighter than the current 235g!

Will certainly look into those chainrings, are the 'Dale cranks BB30, or do you use an adaptor?

What wheels are you thinking of Damnit?

I'm using 400g a pair Novatec hubs, ZTR Iron Cross rims, and double butted spokes, don't think you'll thing much thats lighter within that price range with disc hubs, no?

Not paying that much for a cassette!

Hmmm, I'll have a look into getting a replacement cage, might well be worth it.

I'll see how the FSA cranks work for a while before buying anything else, the uninspiring shifting might well have more to do with the finicky setup than the cranks themselves.

Do have to wonder how much of the smooth welds and seamless finish might be down to filler though...

^ Actually, the only Force bits I wanted are a Force short cage rear mech as I'm using a 11t-28t cassette, and not a 11t-34t anymore,

The chainset is part because I want slightly shorter cranks, part cause the force ones are 130g+ lighter, and part cause I think they look better and they seem pretty good from what I've heard!

But I am not replacing the shifters, not a chance, they stay till they die, they is bloody expensive to replace and there really isn't any point that I can see to change them.

If I get to the point where I think I might not destroy a carbon CX frame, I have thought of the getting one, but happy with this for moment.
