Well, as the vintage Dura Ace aero seat post arrived and was 15-20mm shorter than seller had discribed, its taking little longer than expected, sent it back and awaiting refund before getting another.
I'm either gonna have to go for one of the Easton Dura Ace (7410?) seat posts that come in longer sizes, or a Nitto S83, which is what I think I'm gonna go for.
Although as others have pointed out, the Thomson seems obvious choice, but I just can't over that stupid looking bend setback...
Thanks for the SLR recommendation though TM, well salve and even more comfortable than the Arione, which shocked the hell outta me!
I'll be leaving it as is though, not stripping down a perfectly good saddle thats already as minimal as it gets, especially as managed to get a brand new carbon railed one off ebay for only £70, get in!
Then the only thing I reckon then is a new rear wheel, but that's on hold for bit as finances are tighter than a very tight thing indeed.
edit: Ooookay, no Easton DA post, as a lot of the reviews seem to indicate the come apart a lot! Nitto is then!

Nitto S83?
Hmmm, now that could indeed work. Cheers.
black thompson seems like the obvious option.
^ my thoughs also, seemed like a trick question
NO! The setback Thomsons with that stupid looking bend, instead of a proper clamp set back, look like a fat fuck (me) has sat on em and bent em (although I too did consider it)! ;P

^^ Lol!
Ok guys, need a bit of help here.
Trying to find a HHSB suitable setback seat post as the lovely Shimano 600 aero post that was only just gonna be long enough that I received this morning is 15mm shorter than expected and just ain't gonna work.
Any recommendations considering I have white frame, black SLR, black Thomson stem, silver Campag front wheel, silver DA crankset, and black rear wheel, that are suitably hip and a min of 25cm? -

Right, made a bit of a fubar.
Ordered a lovely new '09 or '10 Selle Italia SLR Fibra saddle off of ebay, which I didn't realize had 8mm carbon rails.
I take it that attempting to fit it to a normal clamp seat post ain't a good idea?
If so, are there any HHSB stylie 8mm clamp seat posts out there that people could recommend?!

^^ Is it worth the risk?! I say bin em'. The bars are already deformed, whats the stop them going the rest of the way with a bit more weight on them and taking you with as they go?
