The SB prefix was for 'normal' SBDU frames the ones that could be bought by the public.
The actual bikes ridden by the sponsored riders didn't have SB numbers they just had the riders initials, the year and which number bike it was for that year.
A few years later there were a few unusual frames which had both SB numbers and a set of riders initials but that seems to have been a one off in the mid 80's.
If you do decide to sell drop me a PM with the price (though I expect it will be beyond my means). -
I can't see any pictures but presumably it's the yellow/blue one on Pedal Room.
I think you identified it correctly on there, the 178 means first bike of 1978.
JR is the riders initials which would be Jan Raas.
No reason to think it wouldn't have been built by Jan le Grand because Jan Raas was the star rider and the Teams bikes were his responsibility. -

I've a frame for sale that has Columbus drop outs (rest is 531C).
