it's due to film age - same happened to me with very old (Agfa) film.
to be correct, the film had no fog at all but the fumes from the printing ink on the paper did affect the emulsion "exposing" the numbers and some arrows, too.

got it like this - hard to say what happened without stripping the chainstay. anyway, the frame is straight though i realize this issue might be worrying the buyer - therefore a lower price.

Here I have for sale a small road frameset made by Spezzotto, Italy.
Seat tube 48cm c-c, Gipiemme drop outs and BB & no-name headset.
Not sure about the tubing, takes 26,2mm seat post, rear spacing 124?
Chrome under the light blue paint (ice blue), no rust but quite a lot of scratches.
The frame is straight and sound though one of the chainstays has been resprayed of unknown reason.

ok, to be serious - i'm not an expert, but as far as i know a frame with e.g. shimano dropouts and golden arrow headset can't be a colnago.
