Tomato fertiliser works well for chillies. This was the last big harvest, don’t know all the varieties but they were mostly a bit underwhelming. I did North London Dirt 3 today, it was very wet and quite hard work. I had inappropriate 32mm Panaracer [edit: Panaracer Pasela ProTite] tyres but made it round by the following measures: puncture repair, derailleur hanger realigning by the nice chap from Canyon at the half-way point, and judicious walking/pushing.

I’ve been meaning to say that the lamp-post was the tag, not the square per se: it’s a memorial to Alan Higgs, who was a lighting engineer for Newham Council. There is a plaque on it with more info.
