Were you typing…? Teams has an equivalent API call, but no sense of humour.

Some more chimney info was gathered as a side effect of the Olympic development. Summary: it was built in 1893 but nobody really knows what it was used for.

Tomato fertiliser works well for chillies. This was the last big harvest, don’t know all the varieties but they were mostly a bit underwhelming. The split yellow fellows at the bottom were excellent, I shall try to overwinter the plant (apparently prune to ~20cm of stem, then v scant watering) and save some seeds. Paper Lanterns were good also & I’ll do the same; smallish plant too which is convenient.

That wasn’t even the worst bit! I took the line to the left over the branches—bumpy but not as slippy. There were a few spots where I just couldn’t get enough traction to maintain forward progress, and had to get off and push. Panaracer Pasela ProTite 32s 🤦♂️

I did North London Dirt 3 today, it was very wet and quite hard work. I had inappropriate 32mm Panaracer [edit: Panaracer Pasela ProTite] tyres but made it round by the following measures: puncture repair, derailleur hanger realigning by the nice chap from Canyon at the half-way point, and judicious walking/pushing.

University Square Stratford
I’ve been meaning to say that the lamp-post was the tag, not the square per se: it’s a memorial to Alan Higgs, who was a lighting engineer for Newham Council. There is a plaque on it with more info.

This is the E side—I think Thames Water have closed the W side for mysterious Covid-19 reasons, but the path is behind the cinema.

That’s right—being built by Barratt.

That beefed-up Brompton looks great—I’d be worried about the derailleur though…

The [Pentecostal] church in question is presumably on one of these hides of land:
In the 22nd year of Henry III (1237-8) a Feet of Fine records the following transaction: Hugh, Abbot of Stratford, plaintiff, by Henry his monk as attorney-and Richard, son and heir of Geoffrey, son of Richard Corbicum impedient - concerning two hides of land with appurtenances in Luiyton with a plea of Warranty of Charter.
