Done 'right', you end up with two out of the 3 positions you'd have by fitting drops. Pointless, basically.
Disagree.
Bullhorns are a comfortable and practical half way between flat bars and drops. With bar end levers the brakes are much more accessible than in the hoods on drop bars.
But having hood levers on bullhorns makes no sense whatsoever.

My wonderful new lady friend wants to meet tonight, but I just want to stay in and play Dark Souls 2. Worst dilemma ever.
Also I may have to start ds2 again as I chose explorer as starting character thinking it would be like wanderer in ds1, but I can only wield crappy knives and not even a shield and need to level up about 4 times before I can and keep getting destroyed. Bah.
Also I needed to google extensively to find out where minimum requirements to wield stuff info is, so much for it being more accessible.
Also the game is kinda ugly and audio really buggy.
Feels like a poor copy of dark souls so far.
Sure it will become amazing though. Peter Serafinowicz said so.

Not a fan of the chub, but anti is pretty harsh?
I do not understand how chub hubs could be anything BUT anti.
- They look like Shimano Nexus hub gears
- The claims of them adding stiffness is almost certainly untrue
- They look like Shimano Nexus hub gears. Why on earth would you want your fixed gear bike to look like it has a massive hub gear?
I do not understand the appeal of them whatsoever. In fact, I don't understand the point of them whatsoever. And this comes from someone who likes hub gears.

Really? I've not tried SPDs TBH (only EBs, ATACs and Keos) and found with ebs you basically just throw your foot roughly in the direction of the pedals and you're in, which was great when I was learning. Certainly much easier than ATACs but now I'm used to them it doesn't really make a difference.
If they're any good, perhaps they'll encourage Crank Bros to up their build quality.
Another problem with eggbeaters is that the critical bit of the cleat seems to be what wears out quickest - definitely an advantage of ATACs. Be interesting to see how the funny cleats on these work over time. Also interested in how compatable they are with differing shoes.

Quite, I started with eggbeaters as they were dead easy to get into. I still struggle with road pedals.
Problem with the eggbeaters is that they were dead easy to accidentally get out of, and I fear that may be the case with these. That's a serious problem when riding fixed, but is it such a big deal with MTBing?

I don't want to go out and have contact with humans because I want to stay in and play dark souls.
Forever.
