Hello! Favour to ask!
I'm not going to be able to get to Kew for 10, but could potentially meet somewhere a little further east a little later, like say Chelsea bridge or something.
What kind of time do you reckon the ride will reach there if any kind of indication can be given at all?
Could someone possibly PM me so I can liaise, perhaps with me supplying me mobile number, a time and place to meet the group?
Sorry if this is asking a lot!

This is the seat clamp area of my hardly ridden almost finished Dolan Track Champion build :(

Bought the frame off a forum seller about a year ago, pretty sure it wasn't there then. Finally got all the bits and put it together about 3-4 months ago - was very careful when tightening the seat clamp - mostly because it's a carbon seat post and I'd have thought that would go first!
A few mixed opinions from the forumengers at the west beers. Some say I need to drill a small hole at the bottom of the crack to stop it growing, some say it's had it.
Terry Dolan himself (although I only just emailed him back with the photo) reckons it can be welded fixed, but as I bought it 2nd hand they won't do it for free. Armatex reckon it's dead.
Seat post is still secure. Want to go on the bridges ride tonight.
So, guess the questions are:
Can it be fixed, and if so, what would it likely involve / cost / affect appearance?
Should I stop riding it?
Thanks!

Looking to put together a new pub rat project as my cheapo mountain bike is starting to fall apart and is just a bit too shit generally.
I'd love to be able to build something with fairly tight geometry, but with fairly fat slicks.
I recently saw this build in projects:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread78001.html
But it's a bit too 'long' and the clearances a bit too massive (although it would probably be spot on if they could have fitted fatter tyres in the forks) for my tastes - I'd like to be able to fit fairly fat tyres for cruising comfort, but I'd like something that looks a bit tighter and roadie-er than mountain bike-ey.
I'm trying to keep this as cheap as humanly imaginable, so any ideas what kind of frame I'd want to look out for?
Was thinking of looking for an old touring frame with canti bosses as they should offer bigger clearances than a road frame? Might such a thing be able to take 26" wheels with massive tyres and still have brake reach? I'd plan to run a coaster on the rear so the rear rim brake wouldn't matter, and a disc would be cool on the front but too expensive and theft-friendly.

Dude on a black fixed getting stopped by police outside Liverpool street station for shadow riding an Evans bike. Is it illegal to shadow ride a bike? I've done it many times in view of police before but they've never said anything before.
^ Anything that renders you not in full control of your vehicle can be regarded as an offence.
Riding one bike while wheeling another along next to you.
Ooh, shit I never new you could get stopped for that, thanks for the heads up.
Surely it's safer? The extra pair of wheels making you less likely to fall over, in one direction at least. Also, when used on the offside it forces drivers to give you more room.
Forum shadow ride?
I think it's more likely the police stopped him to check he hadn't nicked it.
I've seen bike thieves do this before. They ride their bike, and ghost ride the one they've just nicked.

Reep. It's an art piece and unrideable.
