rear bridge didnt allow the wheel further forward on that gearing. In fact rear bridge didnt allow rear wheel much further forwad full stop.

lets not get into yet another how much tension is too much or too little for the nth time but it was spot on when on the track. I admit the cockpit was not the track use setup mind.

What are those rims on Chas's MASH bike?
They seem to have no braking surface at all and goes directly from tyre bead in to the spoke bed.
I likes em.
Anyone know what rims are being run on chas' MASH up there?

of course you could get NJS stem/bars for non commute rides and a more suitable combo for the commute. It only takes one an allen key to switch it to NJS radnesss!

I dont think building a bike full NJS is silly at all, i fully support it!
But (correct me if i am wrong) as you are quandering components you are finding it (NJS specific) is limiting you to what you can use comfortably/conveniently. And if you think drops are perhaps not that ideal for you then its almost a pointless discussion regarding NJS or not! no?
I am not tyrying to say it is pointless to build a full NJS ride but if you are umming and uhhrring over bars then you got to ask yourself if NJS specific parts are really what you need.
anyways, I suspect if you are replacing the bulls like for like and then upgrading brakes/lever to nicer ones then surely it only going to look better. And i doubt non NJS bulls are going to detract anything from the look of the bike until everything else is NJS.
Only you wont be able to put it in the porn thread, or get somebody else to! ;)

what do you mean you dont know how they will look? if it is a straight replacement chance are they will look the same! pretty much full NJS... if you want NJS points then u will have to go for drops. IMO its a bit silly doing full NJS for your commute when you are already happy with other components.. NJS parts for NJS sake.. ride comfy not for cred.
