Right, I’m considering a cycle to work salary sacrifice thing via Cycle Solutions - I’m after (I think) an Aethos Comp with Rival AXS (yes I know I could buy the spec’d wheels and part group off here in the classifieds for under £400 but…) I’ve found one in the sale for £3300 that they are willing to price match, then upgrade slowly etc… I’ve never really considered this route before, I’ve always bought second hand and built stuff myself but I’ve no time and no usable bike and my wife is frustrated with ‘projects’…
My understanding is I can ‘hire’ the bike for 12 months (for something like £120 a month) then agree to borrow it for free for an additional 5 years when the market value drops to £0 and they let me keep it…
This seems like a good solution, what am I missing? 🤷♂️

Popped into Pedal Pedlar the other day and saw this, Sadly it’s had a crash - still something nice to hang on the wall… https://www.pedalpedlar.co.uk/blogs/thejournal/jean-paul-van-poppel

Do you mean 28c? 38c on a threaded steel fork for 700c wheels is pretty volumy - I’d guess you’d need to be looking for something with canti studs?
What is the largest tyre you can get in the frame?I’ve got some threaded forks but no larger tyres to try out in it… they will take a 27c open pave (measuring 28mm)

I’d assumed something like this but they’re saying I don’t… 🤷♂️
The Aethos is pink… the Crux is beyond my comprehension - I’m new to etap and new to disc and aesthetically I like the Aethos
