A TfL spokesman said: "There has been an 18% fall in the number of cyclists killed or seriously injured on London's roads in the last decade, compared to the TfL's baseline figures from the mid to late 1990s."
Bollocks!
Terrible stat, what are they basing the number of cyclists on? Too many questions, not enough answers. Lies, damn lies.
RIP cyclist

I saw someone on the phone and smoking whilst taking their kids to school on my commute this morning. I was so disgusted, I wrote a letter to my M.P. The first time I have ever been moved to take action, asking why it is legal to smoke with children in the car. You may as well just hand them a pack of cigarettes you in-bred cunts
They probably do

An article on Melbourne Ghost Bikes being removed. Really hope they find a way to keep them.
Anyone cycled in Melbourne? Is it as bad as some of the comments make out?
Ghost bikes I think are becoming essential, a real sober reminder that you don't need to dwell on. And to call these "distractions" is beyond a joke, some of the advertising they have in Aus shouldn't be legal on the side of the road.

I've had a pretty 'meh' experience at BLB. I lived just up the road for them for a time, and my one big purchase from them was a pair of their Rino track pedals. 4 wks after buying one of the cages cracked. I returned the pedals and was offered another pair at half price. Meh. I bought these and the same thing happened.
Until yesterday I had no further business with BLB. My lovely girlf who is not much into bikes used my last innertube and wanted to buy more for the house. Taking the 20-28mm box into BLB and asking for 'exactly the same' she got sold 2x £5.95 28mm-36mm tubes. This for me really sums up the idea that bike shops will sell whatever they can to people they feel won't know the difference. How can BLB, where 90% of the bikes in their shop have tyres of 23mm, fail to match an innertube when presented with a box of what needs replacing? I feel they've fobbed my girlfriend off with tyres they wanted to get rid of. Either that or the sales person couldn't match an innertube. Either way, I won't be going back.
I was thinking about having a gander in there on Saturday as am tentatively i the market for a new frame, I have to say i'm hardly filled with confidence by this thread.
If everyone just worried about themselves the world would be a worser place than it is today - imagine that.
