Collect from Warwick Avenue, Farringdon or Strand/Chancery Lane, depending on when you collect. Or I can probably deliver somewhere more convenient for you, within reason. Postage is also fine, but at extra cost.
Kryptonite KryptoLok Series 2. now sold
SRAM 8 Speed 12-23 Cassette. For Shimano-type hub. now £6
Also used, but with plenty of life left.

There wasn't even swerve time! The fool literally stepped right in front of me. But yeah, if there had been time, I would have still had nowhere to go. Only damage to the bike, which is actually visible in the picture if you look hard enough ;) was the front wheel being knocked out of true.
But yeah, all is well really. And drawing it was strangely cathartic.

Indeed. As I was picking myself up a kind pedestrian said he had been on his bike the other day and the exact same thing had happened in the exact same place. I've seen it happen to others as well. I'm very wary of dumbfuck lemming peds (nice phrase) around here, cos they don't look both ways, and I usually manage to anticipate them not looking. This fucker literally leaped out with no warning at all though. I feel awful for thinking this, but a small part of me is glad that he took most of the impact not me. Neither of us were properly hurt though. The only advantage of it having happened on one of those segregated lanes is that the ped and I just fell onto the cycle lane and not under a bus.

^^ But it would be good if you could have this for common plurals automatically. I was looking for the sportive thread which I had seen before and knew existed, so when it didn't come up when I searched 'sportive', I knew to hunt for it and searched 'sportives'. But if I hadn't know it had existed, I would have just thought 'oh, that's a shame, there isn't one'.

People pretty much never admit that they're wrong in the heat of the moment, unfortunately human minds are really bad admitting guilt even to themselves in moments like that, we just get defensive or aggressive. But there is a good chance that later, when they've calmed down, they'll have doubts, maybe change their mind and possibly even their behaviour. So it's still worth talking to drivers - as long as you can stay calm and polite.

Would it be possible to alter the search to include plurals automatically?
So that when you search for eg. 'sportive' you also get results for 'sportives'.Also, is there a way of distinguishing, when you look at New Posts, whether a thread is new in the sense that new stuff has happened since you last looked, or new in the sense that you haven't looked at that thread at all? If there isn't, then that would be nice.

Hmm, not sure about that, I've seen them flying over the pond! And it says this on the royal parks website:
One rather mischievous Pelican used to fly over to London Zoo in Regent's Park to steal their fish for his lunch

I heard somewhere on here once before that fatbirds are often cheapest for Kryptonites. But in future, Google shopping price comparison is your friend!
