My mate used http://www.sellmyhome.co.uk - he used a guy called Tom Crosthwaite, who he said was really good. Cost under a grand.

Morning all, Mrs Roo and me just had our offer accepted on a place up in Upper Clapton after a long while looking. Our last place fell through because of our solicitors taking over two months to complete the initial queries (they are called RMNJ and are based in Liverpool, I would avoid them at all costs if you can).
I know people have posted details of good solicitors on here before but it's almost impossible to find using search. If someone has used a good un recently, could they pass me the details? Thanks.

The sub frame mounts were totally gone and the door sills and wheel arches are scrap too. It was going to need a lot of attention (more than the cost of a new one) to get it roadworthy. A lot of the damage was done after spending a lot of it's 190k miles in the Highlands. A shame really as the engine is still running nicely.

Has anyone got any experience with the old jellymould Audi TT. My mother in law's car failed it's MOT this weekend after 190k miles, which I thought was pretty good for a little turbo charged petrol engine. She would love another one. Before having the audi she never really enjoyed driving and said this is now one of her real life pleaures, so I'm going to check this out tomorrow. It's 5 years younger and looks to be in good nick.
Other than the timing belt and handbrake (the housing is fixed so you can't adjust) I'm not sure what else I should be looking at other than the normal things. Does anyone know of any big problems I should be paying attention to?
Any other type of car I should be looking at that will be the same amount of fun? MX-5 came to mind, but she wants to be able to use the back seat.

Using the property bee app on Mozilla, about half a dozen of the listings I have been keeping an eye on have been amended in the last couple of days, mostly showing a 5-7% decrease. Negative sentiment is beginning to take hold.
That said, I don't think we are going to end up with a sustained 30% decline in prices, like 1998. Low interest rates will halt any real creative destruction in London for the time being. That said, if we go to parity against the Euro and $1.15 as predicted by Deutsche Bank, input inflation could cause a rout and begin a pressure cooker enviornment for a couple of years.
Despite all the gloom, I am hoping to exchange next week having gotten a 10% discount from list. Hopefully someone will insure my mortgage or else it's going to be a very nervy 24 months......
