Sorry, I should've put 'cycling circuit'. It's just a 1km tarmac track that is used for coaching and some races.
When you have a perfectly good velodrome just up the road that the council wants to close it completely and sell it off/demolish it and they give you a 'cycling circuit', it's just pointless.

Sorry to intrude on the thread, but I saw that Clairville Staidum was mentioned. My dad used to race there and even won track league races there.
As JoyceySouthShields has said, it has been closed to bikes and for some time now, which is a real shame. The only track close by for us Boro lads to use and they shut it.
It is eventually going to be closed and more than likely demolished as Ray Mallon wants to save 50 million a year in the local area. We're going to get a new sports facility up the road at Prissick, but I doubt they'll put a velodrome in. There is a cycling track, but not really for fixed riders.

I like them. Cheap, simple and effective. I paid £5 from Ty who runs The Foot Down, as he had a spare one from Bespoked. I don't think they're much dearer to order from the ass savers site.
I wouldn't mind going to see the races at croft, as they look good for local events and I wouldn't mind shooting them for more pictures. Might be able to badger some people I know to get them published with a write up. When's the next few?

Yeah, I admit that is partly my fault as I've been working quite a bit an the weather has not really helped much! I do plan on getting that tag asap and getting a new one up - think Ryan is still up for it?
I bet that was a nice little ride, especially on the fixed, good stuff!I ride to work wind, rain or shine now. It's only a mile, if that, so I have no excuse not to, lol, got an ass saver too incase we get the odd downpour. Also bought some new tyres for my other fixed, just need an inner tube for the back, as I got sold a
23c instead of a 32c - I should've checked really. -

haha, great stuff.
I think once we start it, others will get involved. That's usually the case on here.
That said, lets get started!
Basic rules, like Josh has said - no back alleys, no random walls on random housing estates (unless there's some feature or a good bit of graffiti etc), pictures need to be of reasonable quality (doesn't have to be a Picasso), boundaries are to be decided but use your common sense and be safe!

Here's the picture. New bike tag picture to follow!
Since the weather has improved err slightly, are we gonna try and get a ride going?
Doesn't have to be strenuous, just stretch the legs, have a laugh and try to get some more people riding. Could do what some of the other towns/cities are doing and ride to a specific place, park, bar etc
