Also, is it worth it to get the next model (7.0) with 11speed Ultegra, £300 quid more? I don't race but I do like churning out the miles.

Looking for a geared workhorse/trainer with 105 and have been recommended the Roadlite AL 6.0. Great price but couldn't help noticing the cassette ratio of 11-32 which seems quite wide. I am intending to use this on the Derbyshire hills but I'm more of an old school out of the saddle grinder rather than the modern spinny way of things. Would it leave too many gaps between gears? There doesn't seem to be an option to change either unless you pick the triple package option.

Hardshell leap from £240 to £260, it's hardly a massive jump as Cheleon implied.

Sorry, I might have sounded a bit too bitter. What I meant really was that the price has crossed my personal rubicon for value. Don't get me wrong, I love the Rapha gear and if it's something that gets used everyday than fair enough.

Some pretty annoyed comments re the price rises on their Fbook page. I'm still after a hardshell and was willing to pay full whack at £200ish, now it's nearer £300 psychologically which is a sizeable chunk towards a new bike. So it's a nice new Felt +a bin bag.

Just purchased this at a great price, no not at the sample sale. I've been after one of these recently as the missus needs the car and I now have to commute in all weathers. I had a softshell in large which I let go, perfect fit. I don't think I've expanded since selling it (maybe I've been eating too many packets of fig rolls) but the hardshell fits like a medium on me, too tight around the chest. Gutted! So I'm shifting it on if anybody here wants it. Asking what I paid £170 + £6.95 special next day delivery.

Speaking of jackets. I got a great deal on a hardshell I needed for regular commuting which arrived today..........and doesn't fit, like I said my old softshell felt bespoke tailored wish I'd never sold it, bah!
