Can anyone recommend a good/cheap/reliable fix/fix hub around which to constructa wheel for road use. I have two routes on my training routine one hilly and one flat and need the convenience of it.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I guess you're right rhb. There's a big(ger) fixed scene in Glasgow. Also the there's a new velodrome opening up in Glasgow and I think the guy is hedging on more interest from that.

Just up in Glasgow at the moment. There's a great little fixed gear shop just off Blytheswood Sq near my hotel. Just wondering if there is any kind of thing like this in Manchester?

Are they actually measured centre to centre 34cm from the front horns? In other words is the bar where you place your hands wider than 34cm? Or is the size at the widest part?

Yes I remember seeing that also when I did a search (purchased from the forum).
It has 3 bolts on the front so it's not the batch affected. It does feel pretty solid to be honest. It just looks a bit out of place on my bike.
