Collecting an Ebay purchase from Hackney tonight at 8 and live outside London so don't know the area very well. I'm pretty "street" and "down with the kids" but my girlfriend is... well... a delicate princess and I just want to make sure I know as much as possible about the return journey. (bringing her for the muscle)
This is the monster: http://bit.ly/hrpWdV
This is the postcode e9 7jh and the end destination is St Panc.
The route that Googlemaps suggests looks ok? I've been to Hackney before with no probs, but never at "night"!!!Any suggestions about the journey?
Buy a gun, bat, blow dart, cattle prod etc?
Sounds soft I know... but she's one of a kind and if anything happened just because I didnt check for dodgy area etc...

I'm moving to Bedford in about three weeks, sure I'll bump into some of you.So far I've seen the green conversion with deep dish rear wheel, grey peugeot with red seat & lairy wheels, fluro pink frame & matching wheels, two lads on nice looking bikes sat at embankment pub last year, blue charge plug x 2, and the guy with big hair that has a very nice collection of bikes (at least two very nice track bikes) and an eddy merckx road bike? -

Hellooo,
I'm after 1 thing: A 700c ideally aero front wheel that will take my 25wide tyre.
These are the items I have to trade with:
A 700c front and rear used clincher wheel set, nothing special.
I payed £40 - 5 months ago and have ridden them for about 30 miles.
Ideally I want a black spoked, black rimmed aero style 700c front wheel, it has to be a front wheel but I'm open minded so try me.The rear wheel has a 5 speed freewheel on the back, if interested I can pay my lbs a visit to get it removed. The rear thread is the standard thread for a freewheel cog.
The wheels were originally black rimed and inside the rim is still black but the paint has nearly all worn off the braking surface. Both wheels have a double layer of duck tape doing a great job replicating rim tape (you can keep that) **
