Hi all

Moving in with my girlfriend, apparently 4 bikes is too many. So for sellz I have my faithful ol fixed gear commuter.

Some info:

• MBK Super Sport 12 frame and forks. Unsure of year or tubing, it's not the lightest of frames.
  
• TT = 57cm; ST = 56cm ctc
  
• According to strava I've put about 5,500km on it over the last two years (yes I track all my commutes)
  
• When I bought the frame, I replaced everything: BBB sealed bearing headset, Shim UN55 BB, Stronglight 2000 cranks, Shim PD-R540 pedals, Planet-X DP18 wheelset, Charge spoon saddle (well worn), unknown brand (from forum) bars/stem/17t cog/seatpost
  
• KMC K710 chain replaced about 1,000km ago
  
• New set of Rubino Pros
  
• New Crud RoadRacer Mk2 guards
  
• All in generally good nick considering level of daily use, no rust, no dings, minor chips to paint
  
• Rear bearing is getting a bit crunchy, could do with being replaced

+1 for 1000 mile socks, first run in them today on the half, went great

Boast post alert - 1:28:32 in today's Richmond half, well chuffed. So good to see all my training pay off. Felt strong and maintained a steady pace throughout. Nice course, but the barefoot shoes probably weren't the best choice, a few long stretches of gravel and mud. Looking forward to my next.

Got DAS'd last night, my first ever DAS out there in the wild. Aldgate, about 8pm. Me: black de-stickered Langster, lycra & blue jacket.

I obliged :) and caught up to say g'day. Who dat?

I signed up to this a few weeks back, Richmond half marathon in March. http://www.perseverance-events.com/, did it last year and looking to beat my PB 1:30. Anyone else doing it?

A lot longer and muddier than I had anticipated, but I had fun. Cheers Dan. Ditchling was as tough as I expected, I stopped for a few secs behind a slow car, but otherwise did ok. Getting down the other side was almost as tough as getting up! Sorry I couldn't stick around for a drink at the end. Nice to meet you all. Highlight was the skid/puncture at the end - nice work! Hope everyone got home safe.

Got it. Sounds like I'll need a recovery halfway, although not sure how accurate the strava seg is but those flat spots around the corners might be enough.

What GI would one recommend for a ride like this? I'm on 75" but haven't done a ride as long as this FG before. I'm fairly fit and have done plenty of similar rides geared.

Possibly keen for Sunday, depends on Saturday night antics.. Can't commit at this stage.
