Aye, agree with mammar. Looks a bit too good to be a falcon, clean lines, clean if simple lugs, sloped fork crown and no lamp boss etc suggest it was once a serious, pure racing bike.
My valuation still stands though, without definite heritage or original group £200 tops. Probably better off splitting. Frame weight alone and seat post diameter should help narrow down what tube set was used.
Nice find either way

I'm no expert but the mixed group suggests its not original. Obviously resprayed at some point. Compact geometry so was built for racing.
Lugs don't look fancy but clean lines suggest reasonable quality. Weight of bike/frame would help grade it. If its about 10kg or less as pictured then you have something quite nice.
Also look for frame serial ID stamped on bottom bracket and see if you can see the brand on the drop outs. Usually respray masks these details so might have to peel paint if you really want know.
Big French brands obviously Peugeot and Motobecane, both made top end bikes but also lots of middle ground and leisure bikes.
Horizontal drops suggest pre 1990's. Also figure out what diameter the seatpost is, if 27.2mm you could be on to a winner.
Overall value to me on what I can see in the picture IF it was a quality tubeset would be up to about £200 tops.

I do appreciate the pain of confusion but have to say I agree with mustard beak. It's a shame but in my exp often dibs fall through and PMs follow through.
I'd like to let it go to the first person to make firm arrangements with the best offer - so keep in comms and we'll close the deal. Best if folks air their intention by placing a dib moving forward though.

Apologies for non bike related ad but I have got the impression snowboarding is pretty popular on here. Hence worth a shot offering to you folks first.
I bought this lovely 159 skate banana March this year, brand new for £380 from S2AS in Brighton. I think you can pick up odd sizes from last season for about £300 now as the 2013 versions come in.
I had to see what all the reverse camber fuss was about enjoyed a great week in powder dumped Val Thorens last April. It was only used for 5 days so as you can see in the pictures is pretty much pristine.
Selling as I've decided I'm going to get something similar and larger for the season ahead (at 110kg I'm a bit heavy for a 159!). Looking for £265.
PM if interested, thanks for looking!

Have a pretty much complete 1989 105 groupset going, all in great condition as pictured. It's stamped 1051 and I believe dates from 1989 though could have edged in to the 90's. Also including some Acor SPD pedals if wanted.
Includes:
- Biopace chainset 52/42, 170mm (only one dust cap included)
- Front and rear Q/R brake callipers about 40-50mm drop
- SLR Levers, hoods in fine condition but could do with a scrub
- 105 Headset BUT fork crown race is split so you will need to repair or replace that
- Left and right indexed down tube shifters, 2x8
- JIS square taper bottom bracket in good condition
- Front deraileur
- Rear deraileur
- Acor, double sided red SPD pedals
It's hard to know what all this is worth, I think £100, but let me know if I'm off the mark!
Dibs and PM if interested, parts at Tower Bridge.
Thanks for looking!

Frame SOLD SOLD SOLD
Offering up my trusty 60cm Surly Cross Check frame. It's been a fantastic stand-in for loaded distance riding while I save for my custom build. It's only had about 6 months riding and been very well cared for. Pretty much immaculate with only very minimal signs of use.As you can see in the picture I carefully removed all of the decals except the head badge, great brand but I'm not a fan of stickers all over the place. You can order replacements from Surly if you wanted to put them back.
Great frame, pretty much capable of anything from city fixie to off road, loaded touring. Including a perfect FSA Orbit headset. Cost me £320 for the frame and £20 for the headset. Would be happy with £200 together.
Wheelset
Also offering up a beautifully hand built set of wheels. I had these built up by Spa about a month ago but as is typical of me I over specified. The Sputnik rim is bullet proof but really doesn't suit the type of riding I will be undertaking. These are built for serious 700c off road or carrying 40kg loads across the Himalayas!!So, I was just going to get the rims swapped out but cost wise we're talking about £80. I figured I'd see if anyone on here wanted these wheels as built to split that cost?
I've only done about 50 test miles on these so they are pretty much "as new". They cost £195 but I would be happy with £150 to put towards a rebuild.
Spec:
- 700c Sputnik Rim 36 spoke
- Deore XT Hubs (Shimano cassette hub) 135 OLN
- Sapim double butted spokes
View/Collect from Tower Bridge, dibs but PM with clear arrangement to collect will win out.
Thanks for looking!

Price drop, £350 - I've had an offer at £300 but I'm feeling £350 is my lowest price, all in build cost was over £450 and many parts are new/almost new. I'm just rotating through my inventory, clearing out so I can start new projects.
I took this Burton out for another 20 miles on Sunday and it turned sooo many heads twinkling in the sunlight :) I have realised it's a tad small for me though so I definitely can't keep it.
Cheers

Thanks for all the interest folks but this set has now sold.
