It was awful, you didn't miss anything, probably one of the least exciting time trials ever.
[Oliver, I would advise you stop reading now.]
Everyone else - what a top day for cycling. That was about as exciting as Time Trials get. Its a shame the BBC thought it was a rest day too - it could have done with a bit more widespread coverage from them.
I went an ordered a pointy helmet from Chain Reaction Cycles, I may look a tool on my Brompton with it on, but I don't care - I am a time trialler from now on.

Can't believe there are not any threads on Froome! What a time trial, what a mountain stage yesterday. Now he has achieved what no other Brit has ever done (I think) - red jersey in the Vuelta. Big mention to Wiggins as well who having broke the field yesterday, put in another top time trial.
I suggested Wiggins a few days ago for the title, I think he is in an amazing position. Wednesdays finish is on a cat 1 climb - but tFriday, Saturday and Sunday are the killer stages.

Louis triangle thing, thanks for that.
The rest of this thread seems to be about a couple of bad experiences, but as you suggest, and they say, they have been doing this for years and seem to be quite regularly used. They can't be that bad.
I would like to hear a few more good stories about them though, and less of the two horror stories which took up 3 pages of the thread.
Really appreciate your comments though, a warming message.

I know a thread has been running for a while about different colours etc..., but I would like to specifically know about people's experiences with resprays with Armourtex.
They are a bit cheaper than others advertised, but that might be because they are specialists in a range of equipment not just bikes, i.e. economies of scale, or they might just be pants.
I would like to know what people's experiences are if possible, would you recommend them, or would you recommend I put my steel bike outside in damp conditions for a year because I would get a better end product from the rust?
All help welcomed.

Come on, someone out there must have an old fork sitting around doing nothing.
I am trying to restore an early 90s Nishiki into a time trial bike I believe it wanted to be.
The forks on it have developed a bit of rust and when I removed them I was gobsmacked by the weight.
I could clean the forks up, but if anyone has got anything lurking around that they don't want. I could put them to a good use.
Here's hoping.

I was a bit disappointed with the first week, the Sky time trial on the opening stage didn't help and then a few aimless stages.
But yesterday popped, and we all knew today was going to be a Brits day - we just didn't know it would be Froome. Suddenly this tour is alive again, and moreover, some of the favourites have been blitzed, Scarponi, Lastres and Rodriguez have got a lot of work to do.
My money is still on Wiggins.
