There used to be a short section of wall which was either the last remnant of the canal lock, or built from the same stones, under the road bridge at New Cross Gate station, east side. I was on the platform one morning when they began to knock it down, and in the spirit of historical sharing I mentioned the story to one of the workers. He looked at me like a piece of shit on his shoe and walked away laughing... #londonlife

A Firebird build, woah wait, i missed this... seriously... got pics?
Are you doing clear/sunburst? Sims Custom or Philippe Dubreuille would do a top job but they'd be the thick end of £400. Maybe even more in the case of Sims. Or does the dust thing really stop things? I did a few bodies and they came out pretty okay... takes weeks and weeks, but if you're doing sonic blue or surf green or something it'll be easy. Reranch forum for tips, nitro from Manchester Guitar Tech, wait for spring, then go for it... if sunburst though, I hear you...

Ooh the internet. March 5, 1980, Trinity Hall, Bristol. That was a whole year after the Costello/Voidoids show. I interviewed Robert Quine many years later and he was ace.

I saw Joy Division play in a church in Bristol. My memories of the night are hazy but I think they played four songs and then Ian had a problem and they vanished, not to return...
This was not long after my first proper gig, which was Costello, John Cooper Clarke and Richard Hell & The Voidoids...
I missed the Clash.

@Dammit … adore 912s. A dear departed mate had one... LHD, cloth seats, possibly F reg, resprayed white. I wanted it desperately but I was about 16, living at home, and his asking price, to me, was the moooon. It was £400.
