More like:

That's incredibly powerful because it demonstrates not just how clearly the cycle lane attracts bikes down the inside, but also how the ASL attracts bikes generally forward down the right hand side of the lorry (not necesarily a bad thing, but completing the absolutely contrary message they give off in contrast to the message of the poster). -

Got an email from the scheme:
Over 6,700 areas across the UK have been pinpointed, highlighting the roads you feel uncomfortable cycling on and the junctions which put you off travelling by bicycle.
*We want to get to 10,000 hazards before we take the data to local councillors and Mayoral candidates and ask them to do something about it. Please help us reach that goal by submitting a point on our map: *thetimes.co.uk/cyclesafe.EDIT: Oh, and the map now shows accidents and Times Campaign Identified Hazards (although I think there a lag of a few days before readers' hazards are added)

Initially I thought, "How unfortunate" but the more I think about it, the more angry I get at Francis Maude and the whole self-serving political circus. I despise the Tories but I recognise any one of the parties of cnuts in HMG could have been so keen to play games over the strikes that they cause panic with results like this.
If you're happy to get elected by a population you keep stupid and manipulate with spin and through deals with favourable press, you have an increased duty of care to make sure they come to no harm.

Why does my rear brake feel far more squidgy, and less able to lock up the wheel, than my front?
you've turned the adjuster to the sponge setting, 3/4th of a left turn will fix it
Bad cabling.
Cable routing? Is it too long or too short?
Also have a look at the actual movement of the caliper when you're squeezing the brake. I had the same problem and assumed it was just bad routing, but it was that one of the arms was a bit loose and so a lot of the cable movement was just bringing the caliper back together again.
Check that they're centred too, otherwise you might be pulling one side in a lot before the other side engages.
Thanks a lot for the replies. I think it's a mixture of just about everything mentioned. Centred the brake, tightened the adjuster, and this has made a big difference. It still feels squidgy and I'm going to investigate the cabling as well as checking the caliper arms for equal movement. Thanks again.

Sorry - can you explain [why the narrowest tyres pumped to the highest pressure isn't the fastest option] in an idiot dialect so I can understand?
wider rims Garnett, wider rims.
I'm keen to try this out. Apart from Velocity A23s are there any other wide rimmed wheelsets in the £100-£200 price bracket?

On the BBC they had a overweight 'Mercan being interviewed whilst wearing his bluetooth headset ("Y'all, it makes me look like I'm Secret Service, mmm'K").
"Yeah, the pilot was talkin' bout I-raq and Afghanistan, and so I showed him what I-raq and Afghanistan are really about, and got a choke hold on and sat on him".
Always nice to get a little adhoc surprise lesson about the world - I hadn't known what I-raq was all about until this morning.

I was in a boat once at #4 and we were at race pace and our #6 took a duck's head clean off. It bobbed up and schwooomp. The blades coming back flat are moving damn fast. That twunt missed out on a Darwin price on the roll of a die.
