Having tried a few front lights since my old bulky cateye shook itself to suicide last winter I recently invested in this Cateye hl el620rc nano shot . Really happy so far, 250 lumen strobe for 12hrs/charge, quite light in weight. As long as it handles the rain I think it's a really good city light at a reasonable price.

I did the route as far as Kidd's Hill today. It is really lovely (though I am now covered in mud). Not doing the actual ride because I can't face the humiliation of wheezing up hills in front of everyone, but happy to volunteer again if you need people.
Is it a proper muddy one then? I only haz slick 23c wheels :(

Rozza's at the bottom of Camberwell New Rd/ Denmark Hill this evening. I'm stopped in the ASL box and a dude just slow rolls through the red doing the look left/right/left/right/left thing which is foolproof for not get squished. Copper yells "CYCLIST! STOP!"
Dude has a Pavlovian response to being shouted at and freezes. Dude looks behind and the cop makes a half arsed three step run towards him. Dude smiles and rides off into the sunset. I lol'd. -

I don't normally cycle through Vauxhall bridge area at rush hour (South to North) but did today and was in awe of the fuckwittery. When it's dark, wet and busy it's crazy some cyclists don't adjust their riding.
I think it's the lack of engagement with the environment that scares me the most, just everyone in their bubble. As one 4x4 driver so succinctly put it to me recently when I shouted as he brushed past me in particularly lazy overtaking manoeuvre... "What's the matter, you're not dead are you?". I can't even begin to retort to cuntish logic like that.

Leg warmers might be a shout - although may defeat the point of buying winter tights. What is the sizing like? I have short legs but big-boned thighs.
I have two pairs of size L Super Roubaix bibs that I need to send back, they're stretchy but need to size up to XL for height and chest reasons. I'm basically the opposite body type... 188cm and 78kg, legs like chopsticks.

Bump this up. I've been having trouble of late with my left Achilles, I think from overdoing it. But I've also recently changed from risers to drops & hoods, would this somehow manifest as an ankle problem? My cleats (spds) are plumb on and I have insoles too.
