Good work, impressive from A,B and C teams. How's the hip?
I'm just beginning to contemplate racing again, although the National relays are the week before Brighton so I didn't consider it would be a great idea for my foot, and have now committed to dog-sitting! All being well I'd like to turn out for Assembly League in a couple of weeks. -
55 miles for the week so far, all in my new shoes which I'm liking a lot. Hugely encouraging run today, minimum target was completing 20 miles without feeling too awful. As it turns out I was running for most of it with a club mate who's in good form and pushing the pace faster than I'd planned, but my legs weren't complaining so I went with it. 20 miles @ sub-3 pace, actually not feeling too broken right now!

I'm thinking of getting me a nice 12-string acoustic for general sofa playing (/beautiful wall ornament.) Any reason to look beyond a Takamine GJ72CE-12? Gets good reviews, I think it looks fantastic and the all-important cutaway to access the 17th fret (Genesis, "Cinema Show" intro!)

4 + 10 mile runs in, and I'm very much liking my Adidas Solar Drive Boost. Shit name for a shoe but very comfy, and getting back to the feel of the Glide Boost what they don't make any more. Boost + full length EVA midsole make for a firm-ish but responsive ride. And half the price of replacing my Brooks Ghost.

I've just got involved in a pacers' whatsapp group, so we can keep in touch with plans. So far all I've seen is in-depth discussion about whether the balloons should be on shorter lengths of string, because so many were lost to tree branches last year. It's literally ALL about the balloons!
More pacing practise in the wind this morning, sort of. 9.7 miles w/ 6 miles alternating target pace 6:50/6:20 each mile, ended up with 6.39, 6.14, 6.42, 6.19, 6.44, 6.19 feeling reasonably comfortable.
