Hi all,
I have a nice looking metal chainguard on a frame, with the brand "sl germany" stamped/engraved on it. I know I have seen this brand somewhere, but I can't find it just seraching for the name. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Don't know if this is any help given that you might need a new frame, but one saddle-possibility that you should consider is getting a Brooks Team Pro with custom extra large cut-out. I can't find the link to where I bough mine (great guy in Holland), but PM if you're interested, and I'll dig it up.

One surprisingly effective solution to the full-mudguards-on-eyeletless-fork problem is the VO QR mudguard stays:

I have them on my Pina (front and back), and they completely eliminate rattling (of which there was lots when I simply zip-tied the guards to the frame)

For anyone running 650b on their roadbike/tourer: My Panaracer Pari Moto front tire had a bad sidewall rip the other day, no sharp objects in sight. Shot Panaracer an email, and they are sending me a new tire free of charge despite saying that it is probably not a manufacturing issue (my guess is imperfect bead seating or brake rub). Meanwhile, I ordered a pair of Hutcheson Confrerie de 650b - they are much skinnier (32 vs 38), and quite a bit harsher than the Pari Motos, but their cornering grip is miles better - and at about 20 a pop, they are a steal.

Biltema is a Norwegian (maybe Scandinavian) auto parts store. Looks like basic plastic mudguards that you can get at most cycle stores here in Norway, and looks like two rear fenders, one slightly trimmed, just like I have on my Pinarello (and now on my VSF). Flaps are nice though, need to make some for myself.
