BIG NEWS! Just spotted a half-built structure which seems to strongly resemble the polo court of our dreams...
It's the same design as the football/basketball area in Elswick but much bigger - and it's right next to the city centre, here: http://g.co/maps/grf2c
Looks like it will be finished very soon but i'll keep checking. Can't know for sure until playing there but i think it will be amazing for us - and it could help boost the numbers having a place that's easier to get new people to aswell!

Our glorious leader has returned from his seasonal break, but will he be joining us tonight?

Got an e-mail yesterday saying Newcastle Cycling Campaign and Transition Towns are doing a free film showing/discussion of "Beauty And The Bike" - about why teenage girls in the UK don't cycle - next Thursday 7:30pm at Jesmond British Legion. I'll probably go after polo as it'll already be dark by then. Dunno if anyone else fancies it?

I'm back from Leeds and up for polo tomorrow from 5pm. If anyone else is coming down early don't forget your pocket money for the £3.50 special. What's the verdict on playing at Edmund's Elswick Danger Court rather than Gosforth? I'm not really sure what this league thing is but we could be the A+ team if you want John.

Lucah was right with the court, but unfortunately i can't read directions so went to my favourite danger-wank spot/kids play area in scotswood/fenham instead which also has a polo pitch next to it.
Its smaller than our usual but for matts reference I love 'em little and a bit wide.
It is however a good backup if the two better pitches are busy, which Lucah clearly said are here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Elswick+Road,+Newcastle+Upon+Tyne&hl=en&ll=54.973845,-1.640353&spn=0,0.01929&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=21.665954,39.506836&z=16&layer=c&cbll=54.968726,-1.640363&panoid=byJD7G5gpL7m7DvF6-1Jmw&cbp=12,184.7,,3,4.55
I've got free tickets to Leeds so will miss polo tomorrow and Sunday.

It's the corner of Shield Street and Napier Street; I'm not sure of the postcode.
